Baby shih tzu doll!

Crocheting is one of my many ways of distracting my mind from negative thoughts, and is very therapeutic as well as fun! I love making dolls, you can see some of them here. This time I was inspired by my lovely pup Cinnamon and decided to make her a "mini me" doll.

Cinnamon digital!

I started school last week and I already have tons of reading to do. After work today I sat down and got ready to start my reading marathon, but I was so excited to try my new CorelPainter program that reading seemed booooooringggg. So I put aside my papers and start using Corel instead and I loveeee it. I need to learn how to use it, but I don't mind reading about it :)
The first thing I draw was of course my Cinnamon and this is what I did in less than five minutes! I am so excited to learn more about this painting program and I may take some classes about it, not sure tho!

This is Cinnamon in digital oil!

My Muse: Cinnamon!

Cinnamon has become the center of everything I do. (Well, mostly everything). Two of my favorite activities is painting and drawing and ever since I adopted Cinnamon I had the urge to transfer her beauty in paintings.
  • One of the first drawings I did of Cinnamon was the one below:
Tres amigos framed
This is a drawing called "Los tres Amigos" (the three friends) made with pastels. Cinnamon is on the left, Burger in the middle and Derby on the right.
  • The  following is an Oil painting of Cinnamon. I call this painting, "Precious."

  • And this one is a drawing using pastels. It is a cartoon version of Cinnamon called "Mi gordita" (My little fatty).

My next project will be a black and white drawing using charcoal. I just hope to have more time for that....oh well I will just do it anyway!!
